With GUTS ! I played for a few years enjoying the “Rock” side of music. With heavy guitars, drums, but also trumpet and violin I could play some rough bass in a mix of Rock with Chanson Française. Le Monde Bleu (the blue world) is one of those compositions including these contrasted influences with a rough approach. Fabienne Vandenplas is the perfect singer for this kind of music, No doubt, she could face the power, and even get her strong voice above the all band. I enjoyed especially the freedom for me to add some unusual parts to this music. After a while I produced the record Ardense on Carbon 7, which is the only recording of the band.

Ranging from the French "chanson", and underscoring a complicity with such greats as Piaf, Gainsbourg, Brel, Ribeiro and Ferré.
Influences are multiplied through the contribution of brass, moving then towards the muscukar riffs of rhythm and blues or even funk and then to the intimate moods or vitriolic flights that the likes of Miles Davis, Don Cherry and associates can Whip up in jazz blue notes.
Approaches of structures, rhythms and harmonies scarcely used by most rock musicians also emerge on the horizon.
A real rotgut which sweeps away preconceived notions, served by an authentic group not afraid to play its guts out !
